5. Rick Jameski
On this track, you get exactly what you’d expect—and want—from Tee Grizzley: a menacing, hard-hitting Detroit-style beat, paired with his relentless flow and unwavering confidence. Lyrically, he touches on his loyalty, his elevated status in the rap world, and the way he maneuvers smartly in the streets.
There’s even a bit of melodic flavor here, with Tee dipping into some light singing that helps tie the whole track together and give it a dynamic feel. It’s a slight evolution that still stays true to his core sound.
4. They Shot At Trump
The title alone grabs attention—and while the song isn’t about Trump in the way you might expect, it does include a striking line: “If Trump can get shot, anyone can.” It’s more of a metaphor, a way to say that no one is invincible, not even the powerful. The rest of the track is deeply personal, with Grizzley reflecting on his troubled past, the times he felt like giving up, and how he navigates the streets smarter these days. He also touches on spending freely now that he’s got money—something many can relate to or aspire toward.
His flow on this one isn’t exactly laidback, but it’s definitely more restrained than usual. That slight pullback in aggression pairs perfectly with the production—a dramatic, cinematic beat driven by tense synths that elevate the storytelling.
If negroes shot at Trump, they won’t even waste a bullet on you; they’ll probably just wait for you to die from natural causes.
3. I Can’t Cap
Gangstas don’t lie—and Tee Grizzley makes that crystal clear on “I Can’t Cap.” In this track, he taps into a raw, unfiltered energy to celebrate his wins, his influence in Detroit, and the blessings he’s grateful for.
What makes “I Can’t Cap” stand out is the urgency in Tee’s voice. He sounds hungry, like he’s got something to prove all over again. That aggression pairs perfectly with the colorful, hard-hitting production, giving the track a pulse that’s hard to ignore. Additionally, the hook is catchy, the tempo moves, and the delivery feels locked in—it’s Grizzley in his bag.
2. My God
On “My God,” Tee steps out of his comfort zone more than ever before. The track finds him reflecting on his past, including heartfelt advice from friends and family urging him to escape the street life, as well as his journey from struggle to survival. While the lyrics don’t necessarily break new ground, it’s the sonic transformation that makes this record hit differently.
The production is surprisingly soulful, complete with emotional background vocals and a heartfelt instrumental that bleeds passion. Even more unexpected? Tee flexes his vocal chops, singing with raw emotion that makes the pain in his words feel deeply personal. S**t, I almost cried a few ghetto tears listening to this s**t.
1. Customs
Let’s be honest—hearing rappers talk about how far they’ve come can feel repetitive. But when someone like Tee Grizzley finds a fresh spin on it, it becomes much more stomachable. In “Customs,” Grizzley gives us yet another come-up anthem, but this time, he widens the lens.
Yes, he talks about getting it out the mud, but he also shines light on where that grind took him—buying land, crossing borders, influencing the streets, and turning pain into purpose. It’s a richer version of the rags-to-riches story.
Production-wise, the beat is theatrical and hard-hitting, pairing perfectly with Grizzley’s steady, confident delivery. The hook is catchy without being corny, and it anchors the track with enough replay value to keep it in your rotation. This song is the definition of complete.

RGM RATING
(77%)
It’s tough to fully grasp how much Tee Grizzley has grown as an artist because, in many ways, he still leans into the same sounds and flows that helped him blow up. His gritty delivery, thunderous Detroit production, and bars that toggle between street survival and newfound success are still front and center. Yet, there’s something about Forever My Moment that feels slightly different…
What makes this album a little more enjoyable than his past releases is the balance Grizzley strikes between reflection, flexing, and raw storytelling—almost a perfect 33/33/33 split. Additionally, there are moments where he experiments vocally, dipping into melodic singing that hints at more artistic versatility than people give him credit for.
The fact that Forever My Moment features no guest appearances is worth applauding. Grizzley carries the entire project himself, and the deeper dive into production variety—with beats that nudge him outside his usual zone—adds texture to the album. Also, this needs to to be pointed out: Titles like “Rick Jameski” and “Jalen Hurtski” show Tee was on one when he made this project.
That said, it’s hard to give any of these songs a perfect score. Grizzley’s verses are strong, but the hooks often lack punch, and the overall pacing could benefit from more variation in style or energy. He’s like a reliable NBA scorer putting up 25 points a night, but you wish he’d pad the stat sheet with more assists and rebounds—good, not quite All-Star.
In the end, Forever My Moment is a solid, meaningful listen that highlights Grizzley’s consistency and subtle growth. He’s not reinventing the wheel, but he’s keeping it rolling with purpose.
